NORPAC hosts Senator in Bergenfield,NJ on March 9th

Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) enjoyed desserts with NORPAC in Bergenfield on Sunday at a reception held at the home of Joy and Barry Sklar. Senator Roberts is a co-sponsor of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act and has an excellent voting record on US-Israel relations. Senator Roberts spoke about the impending passage of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act and the need for strong cooperation between America and Israel. The Senator is running for his third term in the Senate and was unchallenged in his last race. Governor Mark Warner, Senator Charles Schumer dine with NORPAC in Manhattan

Democratic candidate for Senate, former Governor of Virginia, Mark Warner joined NORPAC for an intimate dinner at the Manhattan resident of Harley and Marie Lippman on March 9th. Governor Warner has released a strongly pro-Israel foreign policy position paper that highlights the need for a strong US-Israel relationship and the need to contain Iran.  New York Senator Charles Schumer visited and showed his support for the former Governor, who is running for an open seat. NORPAC hosts Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) in Englewood on February 24th

NORPAC President Ben and Esther Chouake hosted Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) for dinner on February 24, 2008 at their home in Englewood, NJ. The event was chaired by NORPAC boardmember Moshael Straus. Senator Reed is a graduate of West Point, Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. Senator Reed also sits on the Appriations and Armed Services committees and is running for his third term. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) joined NORPAC for an intimate dinner on February 19, 2008

NORPAC held an intimate dinner event with Senator Mary Landrieu hosted by NORPAC board member Jack Halpern in Manhattan. Senator Landrieu is running for her third term and faces a tough race this November. She sits on the important Appropriations and Energy Committees. Landrieu also has a proven pro-Israel voting record in the Senate and is an original co-sponsor of the US-Israel Energy Cooperation Act (USIECA, S. 838) and a co-sponsor of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act (S.970.) February 11, 2008: NORPAC hosted Congressman Scott Garret (R-NJ)

NORPAC Financial VP Kevin Lemmer hosted Congressman Scott Garret for a third time in Tenafly, NJ. Congressman Garrett is running for his 4th term in office and stands out as a true Christian Zionist and staunch supporter of US-Israel relations. He has spoken out about the threat Iran poses to the US and Israel, and has supported the Syria Accountability Act, the Saudi Accountability Act, and the Iran Freedom Support Act. Another successful Five Towns Event: Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK)

NORPAC hosted an event for Senator James Inhofe on January 14, 2008 in Woodmere, New York. The event took place at the home of Carolyn and Moish Rosenberg. Inhofe is the senior Senator from Oklahoma. He is running for his third term, and serves on the key Senate Armed Services Committee. The senator is a co-sponsor of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act. NORPAC hosted Congressman Mark Kirk (R-IL) on January 13

Congressman Mark Kirk was welcomed at the home of Abigail & Scott Herschmann in Englewood, NJ. The event was co-hosted by NORPAC board member Yehuda Blinder. Sen. Kirk co-sponsored the Iran Freedom Support Act, and has introduced numerous resolutions critical of the international community’s treatment of Israel. Congressman Kirk is also a co-sponsor of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act and the US-Israel Energy Cooperation Act. Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (D-PA) visited West Orange

Mr. Robert and Dr. Susan Tarnofsky Grossman hosted and West Orange Regional President Barbara Borkniker chaired Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz on December, 16, 2007. Congresswoman Schwartz is a member of the Democratic Israel Working Group and the US-Israel Security Caucus. She currently serves on the House Ways & Means Committee and the Budget Committee. She is also a co-sponsor of two key NORPAC initiatives, the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act, and US- Israel Energy Cooperation Act. NORPAC Brunched with Local Congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ)

On October 14, 2007, Paula and Jerry Gottesman hosted Congressman Frelinghuysen at their home in Morristown, NJ. Congressman Frelinghuysen voted for the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act, the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act and a resolution calling on the UN Security Council to charge Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with violating the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and the UN Charter because of his calls for the destruction of the State of Israel. Congressman Frelinghuysen is also a member of the key Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee,  Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL)

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) joined NORPAC at the Le Chocolat in Teaneck, NJ on October 10, 2007. NORPAC VP and Mission Chair, Mort Fridman, chaired this event for NORPAC's and Israel's closest friends in Congress. Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen is the Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and has introduced every piece of legislation aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions in the House. Senator Gordon Smith NORPAC proudly hosted Senator Gordon Smith (R-OR) on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the home of Esther and Ben Chouake. NORPAC Chairman Emeritus David Schlussel chaired this event for one of the Senate's leading advocate of the US-Israel relationship. Senator Smith has drafted, introduced, sponsored, or cosponsored every piece of legislation which is significant to the pro-Israel community since entering the Senate 11 years ago. He is the lead sponsor of two current major legislative initiatives NORPAC has been advocating for: the Iran Counter Proliferation Act and the US-Israel Energy Cooperation Act (USIECA).
